IMT3391 Media Technology in depth

Prerequisite

The project assignment will be solved in groups of 2-3 students. 60 ECTS from earlier years must have been passed. studieår.

Course objective

Each student group will go into a self-selected topic within the media technology area, preferably a topic which makes it possible to work with interatctivity. Each group will independently work on an approach to a problem that will be evaluated by the course teacher for approval.

Problem description

• The group will jointly formulate a problem description they want to find a solution for.
• The proble description shall result in a product/prototype which will be documentet in a project report.
• The problem description shall outline the final media/kind of product for prodcut/prototype/production.
• The problem description shall describe a real problem that the student group will solve during the project periode.
• The problem description shall contain information about the planned progress and activities in the group.

Milestones

Hand in the assignments to Monica Strands by email (monica.strand@hig.no).

Deadlines:

• 9 September 2008: Approval of problem description
• 30 September 2008: Handing in status report 1
• 21 October 2008: Handing in status report 2
• 11 November 2008: Handing in status report 3
• 26 November 2008: Handing in final project and report
• ? December 2008: Oral presentation
• 15 December 2008: Individual oral exam
